Tarapoto: waterfalls, jungle and Tierra Mítica

Tarapoto has waterfalls everywhere. Usually close to town, just need a short "collectivo" ride and then walk through the Amazon. I've chosen just three of them. The Ahuashiyacu waterfall is the nearest to the town, the most famous an also the busiest one. I'd not suggest it. No walk, and a lot of people. This one I don't even know the name. It's close to a bizarre castle in Llamas, a little town close to Tarapoto. The caste has been built up by a random Italian guy. Worth to see it. The last one is Carpishuyacu. Been there twice actually. My favourite as there is a massive rock where to jump from, a waterfall and also some natural hotsprings pools. What else you need to enjoy? During my stay in Tarapoto I've discovered a community of people living in the middle of the jungle, working on their happiness with workshops.
