Adiós Argentina: se me ha perdido el corazón

The first time I have crossed the border from Chile to Argentina was in February. From Valdivia to Bariloche.
The Argentinian flag was waving in the wind and I couldn't be happier. It was a dream coming true.

The second time it was from Chile Chico to Los Antiguos. No bus allowed so I had to walk for a while in a no man's land and then to hitchhick. From there, I went to El Chalten and El Calafate, two of the best places I've seen in Patagonia.

The third time it supposed to be the official start of my Argentinian journey. I crossed the border from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia. I was a bit sad as  I was leaving Chile after 3 great months. Ushuaia welcomed me showing 3 whales. I had my first tango lesson. And it was the longest distance from my hometown.

From Ushuaia to Buenos Aires I hitchhiked for 3000km (much more than Manchester - Naples) in 4 days. I even stayed few days in small towns, such us San Nicolas de los Arroyos.

In the the capital I stayed more than a month. In BBAA everyone can find whatever they like. And I actually found what I like 😎😁

Las Cataratas is something I didn't even imagine I could see. Cordoba and Mendoza surprised me a lot (still smiling when I think about the natural hot springs in the middle of the Andes).

Salta and Jujuy took me again at the beauty of Patagonia with their huge mountains and infinite number of colours.

Not to mention all the super tasty food and drinks I have tried (asado,dulce de leche, empanadas salteñas, mate, beer Patagonia IPA etc.).

Last but not least all the amazing people met on my way to the happiness. You know who you are.

Argentina has shown itself to be even better of what I thought. 

More than once I've imagined myself living there forever. I'm not sure I will ever live there but I'm pretty sure I will be back.

A wonderful boat trip from Iquitos, Peru, to Coca, Ecuador. And few more info

If you are an adventurous travel and want to go to Iquitos by boat, and you are in Peru, you will need to go to Tarapoto, from there take a bus to Yurimaguas (about 2hrs) and there you will have 2 options. Fast boat goes everyday at 8pm. It costs 150 soles (included food) and it takes 17hrs to reach Nauta. Then take a 2hrs bus to Iquitos. Slow boat doesn't go every day. It's a cargo ship so you need to wait them to load and unload it. There are a couple per week. But you never know when they leave exactly. You just need to speak with the captain. It takes 3 nights to reach Iquitos, for 100soles, including food. You will need to buy a tapperwear and a spoon for the food they provide, and an hammock where you will sleep, although there are people sleeping on the floor. I took the fast one: my cousin from Italy was on holiday in Peru for a couple of weeks and just 2days in Iquitos, so I could not wait. It is like travelling by bus. Super boring. Tarapoto: waterfalls, jungle and Tierra Mítica

Tarapoto has waterfalls everywhere. Usually close to town, just need a short "collectivo" ride and then walk through the Amazon. I've chosen just three of them. The Ahuashiyacu waterfall is the nearest to the town, the most famous an also the busiest one. I'd not suggest it. No walk, and a lot of people. This one I don't even know the name. It's close to a bizarre castle in Llamas, a little town close to Tarapoto. The caste has been built up by a random Italian guy. Worth to see it. The last one is Carpishuyacu. Been there twice actually. My favourite as there is a massive rock where to jump from, a waterfall and also some natural hotsprings pools. What else you need to enjoy? During my stay in Tarapoto I've discovered a community of people living in the middle of the jungle, working on their happiness with workshops. La Paz is not the capital of Bolivia 😂😂

It's not the capital but in La Paz there are all the government offices, including the official residence of the President of Bolivia. Strange? Well, not as the number of the official languages. We can count about 36 idioms, but the ones still spoken are 14, including Spanish, Quechua, Aymara and other indigenous idioms. More, Bolivia is not a "one nation, one state" country, but a pluri-national state. In La Paz, I guess it's possible to see all this mix of culture, languages and background, which make of it a unique city. As unique it's its urban transport system, characterized by the so-called teleférico. It has 8 lines of different colours and can be used to fly over the city and skip the crazy Bolivian traffic jam. It has a vibrant life in the city center but it's also possible to visit some quiet place such as Valle de la luna, or the Muela del diablo, just outside the town.
