Tarija: on the Bolivian wine road (and more 😉)

Bolivia is not famous for the wine but, it's a fast growing market and I can see now 😅 🍷
Most of its vineyards are situated at a high-altitude (between 1500m and 4000m above sea level) which makes some of its characteristics unique.

Tarija is the province with the largest Bolivian production.
In fact here in Tarija wine tours (la ruta del vino) are pretty common and relatively cheap.

I just took a bus to Valle de la Concepción and visited on my own the hacienda "Casa vieja". I've tried and bought a Terruño. Dangerously tasty.

Tarija is also a quite and relaxing city where enjoy the hot weather. This part of Bolivia is very safe.

But I strongly suggest going at the nearby lake San Jacinto, just 30min by bus, where you can eat local fish on a terrace of one of the various restaurant.

Or, if a trekking fun, just book a tour to Valle de Los Condores, which is one of the best trek of South America. View of condors is assured.

Few pics from the city and around. Enjoy 😀
